Product Development Systems was founded by Shawn DeKalb, MSME, BSME, Economics, and Computer Science Engineering. His broad background from being a Presidential Fellow as an undergraduate at a Washington D.C. Think Tank Company progressing to Global Engineering Executive of an international company has given him unique qualifications to view, develop and manage various processes for organizations to achieve success by developing new products.  A passion for making the best new products in many different work environments compelled Mr. DeKalb to develop and optimize processes for the small businessman as well as large scale corporations.

Mr. DeKalb has over 24 years of experience developing products for individual investors to Fortune 100 companies holding positions from design engineer to the Senior Executive level. Mr. DeKalb offers management experience in Engineering, Product Development, Research, Quality Marketing, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Sales.  His work has been performed in Asia, Mexico, United States and several countries in Europe.  His focus on invention and innovation to cash flow has provided him a legacy of successes in various markets.

Mr. DeKalb has a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a Research Fellow and undergraduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering (EE department offering) and Economics at Norwich University.  At both Universities, he achieved graduation with highest honors (Summa Cum Laude).

Mr. DeKalb is a holder of six US patents with more in process.  He has written and published in trade journals and has developed training materials for teams and technical management.  In addition to his passion for new products, Mr. DeKalb also enjoys both personal and business coaching.
